Grandma Great to Jack but Grandma to me

My abuelita passed away this month and we will miss her. We are so lucky to know that she is in a better place now. Her funeral was beautiful my family did a really great job. It was nice to see everyone together and celebrating her life. It surprises me how Jack remembers her. When he sees a picture of her he will say "Grandma Great". What surprises me most is, he will randomly ask where Grandma Great is. When she passed we would just say that she is in heaven but the last couple of days he has been talking about her a lot. It is very cute and makes me smile. We love her and will miss her.

Update on Jack

It has been almost two months since I blogged last and it has been driving me crazy. I never like to do two months of updates in one blog so I am going to try to space it out. Jack is getting big of course and so much fun to be with and to talk to. He is talking a lot. He will attempt and pretty much succeed at whatever you ask him to say. The only thing he doesn't repeat is "I love you" or "I love you too". He is stubborn.

My favorite things he says

1. Hug? (and reaches out for a hug) 2. Good morning Momma, how are you? 3. Poppa Pat and Gam Gam (Grandparents)

Jack also has been sleeping in a twin bed now for almost 3 three weeks and he calls it his "cool bed". For the last two nights he has slept the entire night through with out coming to our room. Yahoo! I love having him in our bed some nights but I am getting so big that my belly gets pushed and kicked too much. He loves going to nursery, playing in water, wrestling with Dad, and hanging out with cousins and his grandparents. I love this little boy so much, he makes me smile and laugh out loud every day. He is almost two and isn't so terrible:)

Dinner in the Canyons

The last two weekends we have spent time in the mountains and Jack has been in heaven. He loves to play in the dirt and throw rocks and pine cones in the river. He gets so excited when we are spending time outside and not in the heat.

Rain Puddles

His face says it all.
